Very helpful

I came across the Ultimate Guide to Making Live Organic Kelfir while looking for something other than the crap put out my probiotics companies. I have thought about all the pills that I have ingested in the past and realized that they could be doing me more harm than good. I was happy to find this book and learn the best ways to make my own medication. I can now make it fresh daily so that I achieve the best results possible. Probiotics are extremely good for you and prevent many ailments that come hereditary as well as from age. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in starting a healthier life now.

Must have this kefir guide book

I love this book, here is why. It cuts through chapters of hype and gets down to useful information. I’m glad it’s a guide and not long winded book of not usable information. I’m sick of buying books that are just long but only 1 or 2 nugget of information, rest is all marketing hype.

This book is an excellent starting source for someone who is interested in making kefir. It lays the foundation and walks you through step by step guide to making kefir from kefir grains. I had ordered several kefir grains, but could not get them started, they would just die off. Once I followed this guide and procedure. I was able to make several batches. I was doing so many things wrong which I never thought off..i.e. using chlorinated water, had my time and mixture all wrong. I tried searching online but it was too basic.

As indicated this book is a “guide” as indicated on the title, so I don’t’ know why people are surprised it’s not full fledged recipe book. This is NOT a recipe book. If you are looking for different recipes do not buy this book. If you are looking to start making kefir drinks-this is the exact guide you should be looking for quick step by step instruction.

I'm always looking for new ways to be healthy, as my diet isn't necessarily the best. That's why I purchase this book, and I'm glad I did. I've never experimented with pro-biotic pills before, but after reading this, I definitely won't. This is a great read on how to create your own pro-biotics which can help regulate many ailments. It's a great book and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Persian Sources (Hardback)

This compilation of sources is excellent in many ways.

First the professional background of Prof. Kuhrt, is distinguished and thus she has decades of research and editing on the Achaemenid Period to draw from for this project. (See published conference proceedings, Achaemenid History Volumes 1-14) This is a "selection" and it must be understood that this is not comprehensive of ALL written sources. What is here definitely covers the main themes and many more details. If you are inclined to either go to the original sources, or find the sources not included, information about their location is listed.

First, it brings a number of "Eastern" ancient texts and sources to a single place where they can be accessed. This is important for many researchers, and with the release of the paperback version, it brings a rich compilation of eastern and western sources (with clear English translations) to anyone who would like to access them.

The organization of the work is chronological by ruler, and several maps, diagrams, and explanations are included throughout. The various sources are formatted to allow a reader or researcher easy access. Most books of this nature are quite confusing. The author and publisher are to be commended for not making that mistake. For a researcher or academic of the Achaemenid Persian period, this book is invaluable.

This reference work meets the standard of what scholarship is supposed to be. It does reach across a number of disciplines (Art, Archaeology, History, Linguistics, Anthropological) as well as reach across traditionally rigid boundaries from Classical Greco-Roman studies to Near Eastern Studies. It hits the mark on all fronts.

manga monsters

I am an art teacher who allows my students to draw from my personal book collection when they are finished with their assigned work. I have many different subjects of how to books. I teach 6 classes of 30+ kids, so it is a real treat for them to be able to choose from cutting edge drawing books. Some of these manga books are very advanced, but I still have kids that love to try the pictures. Manga is very popular, I just have to go through them carefully as some manga is not suitable for high school students. (9-12) This Let's Draw series is very good and inspiring.

Saem gives an insider's view of the wild mammals of his home area and shows how Kalam animal lore is woven into the customary life of his people.

Some 53 species of wild terrestrial mammals (28 marsupials, 24 rodents and the wild New Guinea singing dog) are present in and near the Kaironk Valley. The Kalam high-order taxonomy of mammals is very different to that of Western zoologists. They divide terrestrial mammals into two broad categories: kmn 'game mammals', that is, the larger marsupials and giant rats, that are mainly arboreal and are men's prime game, and as 'small mammals and frogs', that are mainly ground-dwelling and are hunted chiefly by women. In over twenty chapters, Saem describes these animals, grouping them in terms of their appearance, habitats and behaviour. Over the past 50 years the Kalam have gone from pre-contact isolation to partial participation in the modern world. This shift has come at a price - much of the natural history knowledge that Saem records is in danger of being lost to younger Kalam, and to the scientific world.

Opened my eyes.

Being new in leadership this book has given me a different way to look at people. There are the faithful loyal ones, but yet there are those that allow spirits to use them to kill, steal and destroy. Leaders need to look from different perspectives. I recommend this book to anyone in any leadership, or any lead role in life. It helps you to understand there are many different characters in the world.

Very good but a serious error

This was a great book and very encouraging to one experiencing both the thrill and passion of the prophetic calling. However, there is a serious doctrinal error in the book and that is that people can hold all five ministry offices. There was only one man who ever walked the earth who held all five offices and that was the Lord Jesus Christ. I have witnessed this error leading to a cult type mentality within a church when some, in error, felt their pastor held all five offices. Fortunately the pastor knew better and the error was exposed and corrected.

This prophet knows what she is talking about and I'm happy the purchase was not in vain! I thought it would go further into the training of Elijah's prophets, where God spoons feed them Hismelf, but overall, I was blessed!

Such a great book! I found myself laughing, crying, and devouring this book! I could relate to everything she shares! There is a plethora of useful information concerning prophecy and the office of a prophet. I really enjoyed this book. Five stars!
