Simple, easy to implement with substantial results

I have read and continue to read many parenting books. I look for the small nugget or two from each book and try implementing them. If they add to my parenting or my children then we keep them, if not we discard and move on. Parenting is always a "work in progress" as far as I'm concerned and I'm constantly looking to do it better, more effective, and increase the results.
This book is not only a simple and quick read, the principals are very defined and easy to implement. Making this the best ratio of low work (reading and implementation) to high yeild (difference in children) of any parenting book I have read. Some books take me weeks to read and understand then another few weeks to fully implement. This book took me only three days to read and fully understand and then start trying the principals on my children. Talk about simple, easy and practical!
I highly recommend this book to any and all parents (of children of any age), my oldest is 18 and my youngest is 7, and I can see a benefit to them all (as well as myself). Great job Shane, you hit a fantastic subject and made it easy to understand in a practical and achievable way. Wish more parenting books were like that.
The first few chapters are a little slow, by the halfway point I didn't want to put it down! It ended too soon, I wanted it to keep going (isn't that how all good books are?.) If you are a parent, there is no reason not to purchase and read this book, then pass it along to another parent.
This is my 3rd favorite parenting book of all time. My first is "Parent Effectiveness Training" by Thomas Gordon (an incredibly boring and laborious read, however it is absolutely amazing, bar none the most effective book on parenting). My 2nd is "On Becoming Baby Wise" by Gary Ezzo & Robert Bucknam (Essential for parents of newborns to get them on a healthy predictable schedule and sleeping through the nigh in 1.5 to 3 weeks, which is really amazing for parents effectiveness).
